The voice alone is incredible and I could listen to Roman Mars tell me literally anything! The topics range widely – from architecture to design and history but all of them are genuinely interesting, excellently produced and a joy to listen to.

Nilay Patel is one of the best (tech) podcasters and interviewers. He is not afraid of asking some tough questions and I often feel that I agree with his general stance on things going on in the tech world. Most weeks he takes on a different tech CEO – with some heavy hitters in there.

Kevin Roose and Casey Newton are definitely two of the more ... divisive characters in the tech news space. The topics often revolve around AI and its impact and even though I do not agree with everything they say, the podcast is still one of my favorites to keep up with it.

Ross Douthat is a conservative journalist for the NYT and although I would count myself as left-leaning I thoroughly enjoy his interviews (excluding topics around religion) and think that he asks some great questions of people who I would not normally listen to.

The premise is incredibly creative. Tom walks up to random people in parks across the UK and Ireland and asks them the most personal questions. Within minutes strangers are talking about grief, regret and what they never told anyone. It is fascinating to hear those conversations develop.

Ezra Klein is the interviewer I measure others against. I started following him back when he was at Vox and his podcast is a fixture each week that I look forward to. His interview partners are often chosen very well and you notice how well prepared he goes into each episode.

I really love pretty much everything that is produced by Vox. The Gray Area is one of the few philosophy podcasts that I come back to because discussions seldom revolve around technicalities but go much deeper and wider at the same time. Sean is also a great podcast host.

The Vergecast is how I stay up-to-date in the whole tech sector. Now a daily show, it solves my issue of too much stuff going on. David Pierce collects all relevant news and presents them in an extremely well-produced podcast – and I listen to every episode.

Every week they take on an iconic tech device from the past – how it was influential back in the day and whether it still is today. One of my favorite episodes was about the Roomba and how its algorithm was originally designed to search for mines.
